Who We Are
Our Mission
We are Katherine & Michael Lazar. Our organization, raised By angels was founded in memory of our first son, Brody, who passed away at 37 weeks and was stillborn on January 18, 2022. His death has been devastating, forever altering our lives. In searching for answers behind his death, we discovered that in the U.S., 1 in 160 pregnancies ends in stillbirth, and tragically, 25% of these losses could be prevented.
At raised By angels, we believe that by raising awareness, funding critical research, enhancing education for medical providers, and investing in better technology, we can help prevent more families from experiencing this unimaginable loss. Although we couldn’t save our son, we made a promise to him our last day in the hospital to keep his name alive by helping others here on earth living without their baby. While angels care for our babies in heaven, we hope that earthly angels will join us in stopping preventable stillbirth—so that no other family has to say goodbye to the baby they should be able to hold.
